xfx 680i sli + e4400 overclock

Hello,

I got the xfx 680i sli and the e4400.

I just cant get past 3.250ghz overclock no matter what....thats 1300fsb 10x

vcore doesnt get past 1.5v in BIOS.....no matter what...if i try vcore more than 1.5v on bios, the system wont boot and i have to clear CMOS jumper.
....same case with fsb.....wont boot beyond 1300fsb.

RAM - 2.3v ...during 3.250 ghz overclock.
south bridge - 1.5v
north bridge- 1.5 in BIOS
cpu vtt- 1.5v
HT - 1.3v

just doesnt get past 3.250 ghz

Temps are good......core 0 n core 1.....35-38 LOAD.....idle is 30-31c...lapped enzotech ultra-x

temp monitor- speed fan and everest ultimate edition.

BIOS is the same which came with the board...i think its p26..

is it a motherboard bottleneck?......bios?....
please help!!

You might have hit the max overclock of your CPU.

Try dropping the multi to 9 and pushing it that way, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

e4400 - 3.250ghz overclock

Hi there

As you know your cpu std runs @ 1800 (200*9)
and currently your running it @ 3250 (325*10)
The cpu is 1450mhz over stock
The fsb is 125mhz over stock


Thats a good overclock thats not to be sniffed at..! You could do as has already been suggested, drop the multi to 6 or 7 and set the fsb to 400 and work up from there. if you need some pointed here are my spec/settings (I'm still playing, have more to go)

CPU - E6600 & TT-Big Typhoon

MEM - 2GB OCZ Flex PC9200 XTC (OCZ2FX11502GK)

CPU @3600mhz (thermal control enabled, all other disabled)
FSB @ 450FSBx7
MEM @ 1200 - 5-5-5-15-2T unlinked
SPP-MPP @ 250mhz

Voltages:-
CPU - 1.475v
CPU FSB - 1.4
MEM - 2.35v
NF SPP 1.45v
NF MCP 1.65
HT NF SPP 1.4v

TEMPS:-
CPU - 36c
MEM - 35-30c
MOBO - 31c
