Hey does the RTN grounding cable have to be connected for this PSU to work, and if so where do I connect it?
Troubleshooting my new build.
edit: found the answer on Mushkin's forum.

Cool, ya it doesn't need to be, for reference for others, only when used with an acrylic case, will this be a good idea since there is no metal to metal grounding happening via the power supply itself.
Just tuck it away if you don't have a use for it.

Yes this is fine, main this is just make sure it isn't going to short out the motherboard.

If you are using a standard steel/aluminum case, the grounding cable is not required.

This is true.
Thanks for the wording, I think i'll use that next time I have this question.

I still grounded mine even though I am an aluminum case.
Just in case the PSU isn't grounded since its not hooked up with any screws since it doesn't fit my case.
You just ground it on a normal screw motherboard hole.
Check the black wire that goes right to the middle of the motherboard.

Very nice guys, your cables seem like they are in good locations, where shorting out parts of the motherboard will not happen.
