I thought that someone posted a link to one for sale up in a Canadian shop, or was that just a pre-order deal. I think it was in the thread about the world record FSB by Oskar Woo.

Ye that was me, http://pcmaniacs.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=32_58&products_id=3743

pre-order it is. Not sure if it's the same version? Looks to have a different heat-sink on the side there

That's way more money than I would spend on a MoBo, but to eaches own as they say. I'm more into bang for my buck sort of thing. I am interested in what the thing will cost here in the US though.........;) Not that I would buy it.

Yeh, i was totally noob when it came to ordering computer parts back in december and just took the advice of a friend that it was a great board. However now I know what I should expect in terms of performance vs price from a mobo...

:offtopic:56k warning? ****! im on DSL and that **** took forever!~ i think they have a server issue.:offtopic: ive found just about all DFI products these days to be not quite the bang for the buck ratio it should be. not to knock dfi theres products are top of the line but the price is just too much for the extra bit or performance you get. gigabyte has been doing a great job along with MSI. if DFI doesn't rethink there pricing i think it could be trouble for them.

That still one but ugly board no matter how you look at it, but like all DFI products, it performs great.........;)

No if it only had a halfway low price tag all would be golden.

Any board over $200 US is way over priced IMHO, there's some great perrforming P35 boards for well under that price, no reason to go overboard on all the feature sets that 99% of the users will never use.

Ya, i agree. If you only want the best & think yourself as an enthusiast, then only spend so much money on a mobo.otherwise there are lots of good options available.

I am an enthusiast, OC higher than most, so that's not even close to being a issue. It just that so many web sites always tell the readers that "if you want to do this, you have to buy that" and that's simply a load of crap when it comes to MoBo. So many people simply take the different sites/marketers word on all this and spend the money that they really don't have. I'm totally against this practice, to be an enthusiast to me means getting the most out of your system for the least amount of cash output, "NOT" how much money your bank account can output. That simply either shows that you have a good job, rich parents or a bit of e-penis envy...........;)

Yep i agree but those people who doesn't know much about computers & are about to buy one, has to trust somebody. So, they go to the online reviews & if the review says that it's the best thing to buy, they will buy it.This happens if you don't do a reasonable amount of research on what you should buy & if you don't have anyone to guide you to the right direction.

No DUH dude, that's just exactly what I said in my post in different words....................;) If they don't know much about computers, then they aren't a enthusiast now are they? They are the ones that fall into one of the other catagories I listed above.
