Argh you got me there though T2.
Wait till I get myself a Q6600 i'll try to get it pretty high.
3.8Ghz should not be a problem.

Thats actually pretty crazy.
I know I could hit 4.1GHz with my PD805 on a Zalman CNPS 9500 but some of your scores are pretty high for air :o

Are you part of that website where you get points for achieving the most overclock on different CPUs.
I don't know the name but I know its pretty popular.

[edit] oh yah you are part of HWbot :p.

I guess I might ust be overlooking the whole deal here.
I just think 3.9GHz is pretty high.
But then again 05 isn't too cpu dependent.

LOL......more than likely didn't, to hot and unstable on most of those. I don't even file a CPU-z shot unless it passes all the stability tests to get on a CPU OC data base first, most of those are 4 hours Orthos at a minimum........;)

Those old Intel chips didn't preform worth a crap really, even at those high OC's, a AMD at half the speed could trash them back when they were popular...........;)

Gonna work on 3.5 when I have time. I found it odd that I can get 3.33 on stock 1.325 voltage and to get 3.4 I had to go to 1.4 volts :(

Um... maxxed? 1.5625?

Its got a half-inch cross section of torrential FluidXP hitting it, no sense not cranking it and seeing where I can go.

Need more northbridge volts or something though, I'm hitting an intermittent BSOD and I don't think its CPU.

Kinda off topic, but is 55c at full load an alright temp for my core 2 duo? Just been used to the 40max i was gettin at stock voltage

Bio-Hazard
09-03-2007, 05:34 AM
Hotter than I like, but not really all that bad, I'd be careful if you plan on OC'ing much higher though.

What program are you running and what program are you measuring with when you say full load?

Ranzear
09-03-2007, 05:48 AM
Make sure you're running two iterations (from seperate folders) of whatever you're using so you can max out both cores and really kick both cojones. I keep seperate SuperPI shortcuts on my desktop just for post-tweak horsewhipping.

westy87
09-03-2007, 07:12 AM
I get 55 while running 2 F@H cores and about 52 when running orthos for dual cores

here Is my mild hot summer overclock, I've been using the 8 multi on my 6600 to get higher fsb and bus speed, but nothing too extreme because its still hot out. I'm getting 50 degrees with one F@H set to affinity on the second core....Its a bit high but whatever, 1.28 Vcore showing in cpu-z

the_dope_chaud
09-04-2007, 12:06 AM
In my bios its at 1.3, I found it weird that core temp and everest showed something closer to 1.3. Thanks for the heads up, I will try when I get home.

Bio-Hazard
09-04-2007, 04:54 AM
1.3 in the bios and 1.28 in CPUz might be pretty close when you concider the vdrop under load in most Intel boads these days. I get around a 0.02 to 0.03 drop in mine under load from what the bios setting is.
