So...I see that on the evga version of this board, they have a revised p5 bios (5A) that adds back in 1.5v on the SPP. Any plans on releasing this for the XFX board? Or are you waiting for P6, which includes adding back in 1.5v on the FSB? I can't really tell if my chip or the lack of V is holding me back at this point, with only 1.4v available on the chipset, and FSB.

Also, is there a certain revision of this board that is better for quads? (Like the A1/T1 EVGA models) I'm having a bit of difficulty getting my G0 Q6600 over say 3.15ghz quad prime stable.

Also, is VDROOP really this bad on this board? For example, I have 1.35 set in BIOS. CPU-Z (newest beta that supposedly reads voltage accurately). Under quad prime load, this drops to 1.264-1.275. What gives?

Thanks for the heads up, let me fire an email over to my engineers to find out more about this.

Let me know what you find out. The issue was discussed over on the evga forum, but no news on fixing the issue as of recently. I'd be thankful if you could at let get me tha 5A BIOS for this board, if not an update on when to expect P6?

XFX has version P05 bios posted up on their site, but there's another thread from another guy that is having issues flashing it to his board, so use it with caution.

Already have P5 flashed and am using it now. However, I need a revised P5 (such as evga's P5A), that gives me back some voltage options. Or at least an ETA on P6.

Close to a month without a word back on this issue? What's the deal guys?

Where's the P5A BIOS? Evga doesn't seem to have an issue providing this to their customers?

Any word on P6?

I feel like I'm being left hanging here.

I have been keeping an eye on this thread since you started it,since the first few post not much has changed really has it?
This board needs the higher voltages unlocked again. As it sucks for overclocking q6600 as it is.
Hope they release new bios soon. Thinking of replacing it with Gigabyte x38 board if there is no answer soon.

Nothing has changed at all. I figured asking for a BIOS that EVGA has already made public for their version of this board, would be an easy enough request to fulfill. Apparently that assumption was way off base.

I'm becoming rather disappointed in XFX's ability to respond to issues of this nature.

You would think they would like hearing feedback from knowledgeable consumers...as it makes it easier for them to improve the existing product.

Perhaps I'm just impatient. *shrug*

If all you need is a public BIOS why are you asking for it in the tech. support forums? head on over to the XFX site and download the bios yourself. Its was a holiday up here in canada too! thankgiving!! give shannon a day!!

P06 is available according to the landing page on the xfxforce support site.

Yes you can now download the P06 which will allow the 1.5v again. I see your point about releasing it early, but Beta motherboard bios flashed can be much more risky then of course a mear beta driver for a video card, so we tend to wait to ensure its tested properly and ready for the customers.
