First of all, I've had a few (apparently not as huge as I feared) issues with my rig, as you can see here

http://www.bjorn3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17512

Before finding the culprit, the technician decided to reset the bios. So far, so good.

The thing is, every time the PSU is shut down, whenever I turn the computer back on I get the above message, and a text saying "press F1 to advance, Del to enter setup". If I press F1 XP boots up normally, and there are no issues whatsoever. The rig works fine after that.

Can this a bad sign? As I said in the thread I mentioned, I am a total noob when it comes to hardware, and I won't be able to take the computer to the store for the following two weeks. Do you think it's safe that I keep using the computer until then?

CMOS battery on the motherboard is probably bad. So the machine is defaulting to defual configuration when you turn off the power supply.

Replace the battery.

Just enter in Bios by pressing Del when that message arrives & when you are in the Bios, press F10 & yes when asks. Then after rebooting, if that message comes again, you will need to change the CMOS battery & install a new battery.

Thanks for the tips. Just two more questions: my board is a Asus A8N SLI Deluxe, and isn't exactly recent. Will it be easy for me to find a battery for it?

Another thing...is it safe if I keep using the computer?

Sorry for all the questions, but as I said earlier, I'm a complete hardware noob.

Thanks in advance!

No problem my friend & nothing to be sorry about.Everybody were noob once friend. And for your question Kenobi,CMOS battery doesn't relate to any specific motherboard. All CMOS batteries work in all motherboards.Just go to any computer shop & ask for " a new Motherboard Cell ".When u get that, you can see in your mobo manual the actual position of the cell. Now,replace that cell with the new cell.Do it after shutting down your PC & completely disconnecting all the power cords.Keep us updated.Best of luck.Don't forget to try ( before buying the cell ) entering in the Bios by pressing Del & pressing F10 & see if that message comes again.
