Hi guys.
I have returned once again my WRT350N Linksys router.
Everytime I get a power outage in the house, when the power comes back the router is as good as dead.
My ISP can still see they are connected to it but as far as me being pluged to it, I can't even access it anymore and it won't send anything to my PCs.
Is there something I can do.
I also using Belkin power bars (quality stuff) and it still does that.
Everytime there is a power outtage these routers give up...

Get a high quality, high quality UPS, that should solve the problem. You might even want to replace your surge protector, after so many outages and surges, they do get weak and won't work properly anymore.
Over the years of living out in the country where I do, I have lost my fair share of components due to crap power grid.

I had all kinds of problems with linksys power back in the day when routers where first appearing for broadband home use. I had enough after my forth or fifth one so i trashed it and bought a cheep D-link and the darn thing has been running for 5 years now and i have not had to mess with it once after the initial set up.

Not sure how things have changed with the linksys stuff but i have never bothered to look back.

I'd try the UPS way too just make sure to get a good one. Just keep in mind that even they can get eaten buy constant power outages. The ones we have here at work die from time to time, and at random what ones die. Brand new ones will crap out on the first power outage and ones we have had for years are still going strong. Make sure to get one that can power all your stuff though.

This link can be useful. Select your country and then select PC / Workstation.

Once upon a time Linksys was the name to own in home routers but when they got bought out by Cisco their quality fell through the floor.

It really did and now I use a D-link router with great success. I would second Biohazards suggestion. if you have frequent power outages perhaps a battery backup is what you need.

Thankfully it is only your router and not anything more expensive.

Have you already tried a hard reset on the router? I assume when you tried to access it after the power failure you used a hardline? Some routers have the option to not allow wireless connections to access the router itself.

I was always hardwired to it.
And of course I tried reseting it many times :p
Even unpluging everything and repluging everything and yet no success.
I just go to the shop where I bought it and they exchange it but its annoying to always get the replaced.
I just wanted you guy's opinion on Linksys.

I've got no problems with Linksys stuff, I've been using a swtich from them for years. It's nothing fancy, but it works like it's supposed to, what more can I say...............;)

I can't say what Linksys is like now but i can say that my D-link cost 30ish bucks and has run like a champ for years.

I have a new gigabit router that from D-link that i will install in place of the little one this weekend I will let you know what i think of it if you would like once its up and running.
