Hey guys, the local pc shop had a dual 120mm, and single 120mm DD Black Ice Rad's and someone ordered hadn't piurchased they clearin em at $20 for the pair bought them, they need barbs, so I was wondering, if I could go to like home depot and grab some metal ones, I think bronze, they are Watts WCA-293 and if they would work, or if they would like corode, or cause algae, and that kind of thing

You can get good aluminum or stainless steel barbs from Petrastechshop.com or performancepcs.com, they are pretty cheap, and save you the trouble of getting the right ones.

Brass works just fine and won't cause any problems, just be sure to use teflon tape when you install them.
You need to double check on the thread type the rads have before you go out and buy barbs though, depending on when the radiator were produced they could have any number of different tread configurations. The newest versions all use G1/4 inch fittings where the older models used 1/4 NPT.
The box that they were shipped in should give you the proper thread specs.

If they're the G1/4 (Shallow straight coarse thread with an o-ring surface) I'd definitely recommend DangerDen's high flow fittings.
I've had both: The BIX is nice, but the BI-GTX delivers exactly what it says on the box, staged two-pass for 40% performance gain. I'm also looking to swap my hoses around to see if I'm flowing it backwards and maybe can pick up a few more degrees.
btw... Single 120mm with a push-pull stack is loud, but I only get 4 degrees of temp climb to full load, and it fits in my mini-tower.

Some of the best out there, but sadly always out of stock.

Anyways, here's page with just about all the big name fittings.

Put 7/16 hose over 1/2 OD fittings and you won't need anything for a nice seal. I zip tie them anyway.
