For a second I thought it was another 8800Ultra but a new monitor is just as neat.

Black Mongoose is his computer and if his sig is upto date that is a 27 incher monster LCD.

Signature Updated.

It is the 2707. I was thinking 30" but with that resolution required the video cards are not fast enough yet.

Besides look at my desk, out of room.

Scott will more than likely be getting a new car upgrade soon enough and if he has his way I'm sure it will be something like the yellow car on the screen.................:jawdrop:

Very nice screen though.........:icon_tiphat:

I just helped a neighbor friend set up his Samsung 245BW he bought a few days ago. It's just a $480 TN type panel so I wasn't expecting much. After a bit of tweaking in both the Samsung display menu and Nvidia's advanced control panel I came way thinking it did better than I'd thought it would.

We had to trim down the red a bit and ended up using the equivalent of the MagiBright text setting (20 brightness, 75 contrast) after lots of custom settings. Over all it has very impressive color quality and sharpness and it's backlighting is very even. There were no dead or stuck pixels. Absolutely no ghosting or blurring was present.

It's main weakness seems to be color smearing on faces in darkly lit scenes with glowing lighting. The bar scene in Revenge of the Sith and where Anakin talks to Padme in a firelit room are two clear examples of this though only minimally in the former. This is a great movie for monitor testing and setup btw. Since I have no experience with PVA, MVA or IPS panels, I don't know how their superior 8 bit color depth would compare. I did try minimizing the picture to 720x480 to see if it was largely due to the upscaling but the smearing still showed on the darker scenes. Then again we were only using my friend's old copy of OEM PowerDVD 4, which doesn't have as advanced video processing as their current versions.

I've been toying with the idea of a Samsung 275T myself. I often wonder though if the pixel pitch being over 12% larger than a 24" would to a degree offset some of it's superior panel construction.

Nice monitor Scott, i believe Schwarz has my exact impression lol. But i know guys who have the 30" Dells with an 8800GTX and arent having any trouble playing the games on the highres with being maxed out.

Saturday, driving on I-95 I saw my first NSX Honda... It was a Honda not a Acura! Such a nice car. It was no match 85-160mph for my GTO though. (It was Yellow)

Nice monitor Scott. Man if I think about my 15" monitor, i feel really bad. I have already bought a 21" Widescree monitor for my dad, and a 19" monitor for my sister just to be nice, and when I ask them if they could get me one, then they say that they don't have the money. I saved up my money to get them one, but for already 1 and a half years I just keep begging and still nothing. :(

Once I got to use my sisters monitor, but then she took it back because I gave her the 15" one and she said that it was way to small, so then how should I feel. :(
