Pretty good deal i say but,you also could get a better graphics card like in the 8600 series so that you could game a bit on it.But otherwise i think it has got pretty decent configuration.Show us some pics if you can.Hope you enjoy your new gadget.

As a 8600 is also a PCI-E card like that Go 7300,the installation process is same. For the exact price of an 256MB NVIDIA ®GeForce™8600M GT card you need to ask your dealer/E-Trailer but i think, it should be around $200 as per the Dell Canada price. You know, if you can afford to get this card Mousi, then you'll be able to play DX10 games & applications on your laptop in a reduced resolution ofcourse because it's no 8800 card but your lappy will still be DX10 capable. The installation procedure is the same as installing other Geforce Go based PCI-E cards. If you can't afford that 8600M GT card, then there's also 8400M cards available which you may find pretty cheap & still get the DX10 functionality.I know these cards can't provide you exceptional results but it's better to make your lappy as much as future proof ( as your money permits)as you can because it's not always possible to upgrade laptop parts like we can easily do in desktops. So, best of luck & keep us updated my friend. :)

Which dealer or E-Trailer have you searched for it Mousi ? It would have been better if you would have ordered it while you were buying your notebook.Laptop graphics cards are a bit difficult to find separately.I know it's available with Dell though.

What is your laptop for? Mine is strictly for internet and old skool game usage. It has a Mobility X600 in it and it plays Halo maxed out (lol). That 7600 shouldnt give you to bad of results. If you have a PC for gaming id say spend your money on upgrading it instead of your laptop. I recomend only putting like RAM and HDs in your laptop.

EDIT: Also, its a Core Duo.

Either way, still alot better than an X600. If he has a gaming PC then i wouldnt suggest dumping a bunch of cash into a new mobile vid card.

Ya, that's right.I've suggested thinking that he'll game on it but really if he has a gaming machine, then he can skip this idea.

I used to be pro gaming on a laptop constantly but actualy it kinda sucks. Cause even with an X600 and Pentium M 1.6ghz the thing makes my room hot just playing Mechwarrior 4. I can only imagine what a Core2 Duo SLI laptop would do. Prolly make you sterile playing STALKER or something. Im actualy pro gaming on a PC and internet on a laptop. But, i like to have lots of RAM and a fast HD. (And a dual core too)

well this laptop came to me as a surprise, so my dad had chosen the specs, plus I found out that this is the highest card IBM/Lenovo have to offer, I was never really seiously looking at ordering a new video card seeing as how I dont game a lot anymore and how this laptop is mainly for schoolwork, thanks for your suggestions though now I know what to do when this kind of upgrade ever indeed comes to life, I just really wanna see what a laptop video card would look like if ordered though, Ill hop on that train right now and start looking for some pics... hehehe

EDIT: Oh and BTW it plays CSS at 30-45 fps on fairly above aaverage settings, izz niiiiceeee

Well here you'll find a little detail about the 8600M chip's specs :- http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8600M.html

And you can visit here to see how they perform :- http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=125246

8600M is able to score more than 3500 3D Mark 2006 marks with a Mobile C2D CPU & 2GB memory in non-OC mode & it can produce a score of 5411 when overclocked & is playable to run all latest games as you'll see the proof on the previous link. So, you know how powerful it is.

Well the 8600 chip almost can compare to my 7950GT in DX9 so i would HOPE it could give those kinda scores.
