Whats the best utilities you guys can think of (or personally use) thats the best for
1.) Defragging
2.) Formatting
3.) Disk scanning
4.) Drive bad cluster fixing (Drive recovery basicaly)
If you have one program that does ALL this thats NOT Windows please tell me. (I know the Windows built in sucks but its all i got)
I know of Partition Magic but i dont know if it has all these utilities on it.:icon_tiphat:

I don't know of any one program that does them all well, generally speaking, all-in-one solutions aren't the best at all of the tasks offered. A good example of this would be Norton Utilities. it does most ok, and at others it just plain sucks.

For formatting I use dban it works very well. As for bad sector depending if thats hardware or software a maxllf format with dban will solve software. Hardware you'd want to use the windows CHKDSK since that tells windows not to use that section of the HDD.

I know Hiren's Boot CD has a collection of utilities that do these things very well. In Windows, idk of anything that does it all...

One of those boot CDs should be more than enough like Hiren's BootCD.
