I have read reviews for several CPU fans, Zalman / Artic Cooling etc... but can anyone suggest a solid quiet fan for Duo Core CPU? I find someone on these forums can give a two sentence review of a product better than an professional article. All suggestions welcome. Budget £30 / $50. Cheers, Damien.

Welcome to the community Damo.I prefer using a Scythe or a Panaflo or a Noctua fan for your CPU.A 120mm version would be great from any of these companys.Which Heatsink you'll be using the fan on anyway ?

It really matters what heatsink your currently using.

If it takes 120mm fans then you are in luck, they range from very loud and powerful to silent and efficient.

You can't go wrong with a Noctua 120mm fan but there are a little more expensive than the rest. AC fans are also decent. A popular brand are Yate Loons fans.

I think he means heatsink boys. I reccomend scythe mine or some thermalright or another tower heatsink with heatpipes, all in the 50 $ range

He's asking for a HS/F for a Core 2 Duo, but has an E6850.
