Of these headphones?

http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=442&product=16337

I go to LAN parties all the time and need some decent headphones and Frys has these things on sale for 25 bucks with a $75 instant rebate. Sale ends sunday and if its worth it im gonna snag some cause the only others they got for that price is some cheap Logitech ones. I went looking for reviews but sites only have the pro series or the old school gamer ones. These look newer and IMO prettier lol.

Nice looking, but they have one strike against them, they're Creative. Creative may be desired by a lot of people but when a company refuses to give good service and basically ignores all support requests...just like PayPal and eBay, whom are going to be on my list, now...that company doesn't need to prosper.

There's a lot of people very upset with Creative for ignoring problems with their products. I'm a principaled person and I will not patronize arrogance and rudeness. Creative is that.

Yea same with the 2kgames and Bioshock but you dont see ppl stopping from buying those games. I have a Fatal1ty mouse and keyboard and they are great. The Creative products you shouldnt buy are the sound cards cause that brings in the most money. Besides, its on major sale and i was wondering if they where worth the money.

For the price that you are listing, I'd give'em a try. If they suck, at least you're not out of much money... but I wouldn't count those Logitech headphones out just yet. I will pretty much purchase any Logitech product that they manufacture, big fan of their stuff ;)

Logitech is good stuff but I wish they'd make a 5 button thumb controlled trackball mouse. I just can't figure out, when nearly every mouse in the world almost is coming out with 5 buttons, why Logitech won't put 5 buttons on the trackball. It's...well...illogitech.

And the people that i LAN with always bash me cause i use the Fatal1ty line. They dont like them becasue of the name and him really. I use them becasue what ive had so far has been excelent quality and so i boast about it. Im not going to get the headphones and they suck whilst at a LAN. That will uh, make me look stupid lol. And the Logitechs, ive had some. They where horrible and i went back to using PA speakers in my room.

I'm with ya. The current thing I'm looking at right now is the Zalman Fatality CPU cooler. I need a very dark looking cooler for Lord Darkness and that one would be as close to black as I'm likely to find beyond painting one myself. And I'm a new convert to Zalman CPU coolers and love them. I have yet to use one but I recently bought one from a forum member elsewhere and demoed it on a stock 775 board I have. Wonderful and impressive. It's the Zalman 7700AlCu, BTW.

The Fatality one is FS-C77

Hey, thanks for bringing this one to my attention! I've seen it before but I just figured it was a non color picture of a copper color heatsink.

Anyway, nah, I think this is the one...lol :D

Yea im getting Fatal1ty coolers on my video cards. Frys hasent had any in stock for a few weeks though. And actualy that 9700 NT is better than the Fatal1ty CPU cooler. Its also a dark color.

It's funny, I thought the lack of color was due to a non-color picture. It does resemble somthing taken in monochrome. :)

Well, nothing against Nvidia but that will go. I just don't think I can get the two ATi cards and the Nvidia fan to work peacefully.

Going to put a blue LED fan in it. The one that just...erm...here, I'll show it - CNPS9500 LED:

If this fan is the same size, I'll use it instead - Zalman 7700Cu LED:

The price looks right. I would think that any headset in this price range would be pretty much the same. I don't think you can go wrong that design. I wouldn't be expecting hi-fidelity sound for that price....

Well please realize that this was on sale. Normal price is around 100 bucks. Sale ended sunday though and i didnt take a chance. I have some headphones with a headset but i dont expect them to last long.

Watch out for the sales...especially the online variety...because from my experiences it's a way for a retailer to clear inventory of undesirable goods...meaning defective or damaged, most of the time.

But this is usually an online retailer tactic. It's much easier for them to get away with it because of shipping and packing concerns...on the part of the buyer, that is.

The last time i bought something online was in december ;) Im talking about my local store Frys Electronics. And their sales on their website are always different from in store sales.

Check out Plantronics (http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat640035/cat1430032) before to make a headset purchase. I've owned a pair for quite awhile now. You're going to want something pretty comfortable for those long sittings where you lose track of time playing.
Those look pretty nice. I don't know what the conversion in right now to US but if it's anywhere close....$29.00 doen't sound unreasonable for those phones.

Here's another link to check out headsets if your interested.

What i have now actualy is an older pair of behind the head Plantronics. I dont like them because they mimic Sony cd player headphones with a mic. ALl those on that site are more exspensive than the Fatal1tys where at the site except one pair i thikn which arent stereo. Im just dealing with what i have and am saving for an AM3 purchase next year.

I suggest that you get headphones instead of headsets. Then just get separate mic. That way you can use those headphones out side of gaming. When I got mine I took some time to look around and I really suggest getting the Sennheiser HD280Pro. They have passive noise canceling so you can concentrate at those loud lan parties.

PS. as for europe you'll have to find a good price retailer.

Yeah, like I said, those look pretty nice. As long as it's something that's well padded and cover the entire ear. Those seem to wear less on your head and make for a more comfortable gaming experience...as you probably already know.

Yea thats why i was looking at buying them. These ones i have now are realy uncomfortable. I cant keep them on for more than 30 minutes worth of gaming and somethings RTS matches last hours at a LAN party.

They look nice, but Fatal1ty from Creative? i'm not so hot on that one....Creative has (or used to have) crappy customer support...my dad bought speakers from Creative, and they went bad, and Creative did not respond, even though my dad asked them like 7 or 8 times

PP Mguire
09-21-2007, 05:16 AM
Trust me like ive already said i know how Creative support is. When i had a question about my mouse they wanted to chrage me for their emails becasue i was outa warranty. Im like um, how bout no? I was lucky i got an email back in the first place. But thats why i wasnt ging to drop the 100 bucks on them and they where on sale for 25. Either way the sales over and i didnt buy them. To risky either way. But i do have to say both of my Fatal1ty products have lived up to their name.
