I`ve finished installing my computer hardwares in the motherboard (in TWO different computers using XFX 650i ultra MB). Both computers are having almost the same problem:

1): MB + Pentium E4300 + 2GB DDR2 Samsung 800mhz + VGA EVGA 8600GTS 512MB + HD 750GB SataII 7200rpm + DVDRW Pioneer 111D + PSU Thermaltake 430w W0700
Problem: the motherboard turns on (amber light in the upper right corner e green light in the left corner -above/down), but MB don`t send any video sign to monitor (NO video sign) and I don`t make any bip sound .

2): Pentium E6320 + 2GB DDR2 Samsung 800mhz + VGA XFX 7300GT 256MB, HD Samsung SataII 320GB 7200rpm, PSU Satellite 545-K8 400W real
Problem: motherboard don't send video sign and SOMETIMES makes a LONG BIP sound (not continous).

Coolers, PSU, DDRs memories, VGA, CPUs and HD have already been tested and are working fine. I have already reseted both BIOS, unmounted and remounted both machines. :jawdrop:

Do you guys have any idea about what can be done???

I`m really lost about it... :frown::frown::frown:

Thanks a lot.

PS: Sorry about my poor english.

Sounds like the board is defective. Either exchange it where you bought it or register at http://www.xfxforce.com/web/support/supportCentral.jspa;jsessionid=a5VEiK_cWfLalTCAcu
and create a support ticket explaining the problem.

Two of us here have that the exact same problem with that board as you're having.

Thx for your anwer, I'll do that (exchange).

I've already created a ticket about the problem (day before yesterday), but I got no answer yet. I know they'll answer, because when I need their help about other product they were helpfull.

All the reviews about XFX 650i Ultra were excellent, but TWO mobos with the same problem makes me worried about it's quality, maybe whole lot were defective.

have you tried with just a single stick of ram at different slots?

If you have just the basics installed like one stick of memory, CPU and your video card and it sill refuses to boot, you most likely have a dead board and need to RMA it for a replacement.

I got two replacement boards and both had the same symptoms.

slug, how the RMA service works??? it`s fast?

I don`t know if I`ll use RMA,`cause it`s in guarantee.

Thank you everyone for the help!!!:wink:

in that case I would say maybe the mobo is bad. Either rma or repalce from where you have purchased the board. Don't forget, if there's any problem with your rma, do post it here as Scott and get someone to help you out.

From the time I shipped until I got it back, about a month. Your first choice should be to exchange it where you bought it.

darkorb: which processor did you try with your 650i? A 1333fsb will only work with P03 bios or newer. The board won't even detect it.

In that case (if you are using a 1333 FSB CPU), Darkorb you can install an old CPU like a S775 P4/Celeron D or Pentium D & when the machine boots up,flash your mobo to the P03 or the latest Bios for your mobo. Then after flashing, you can put your 1333 C2D in it.I hope, the mobo is alright though.

Hope you get working ones this time. I'm beginning to wonder if there was a bad batch of them.

I think slugbug might be onto to something there... a rash of bad 650i's seems to have hit the market... I know that XFX will take care of it though ;)

I`m pretty sure about it, `cause them are from the same batch (just two numbers between the mobos).
