XFX 680i SLI CPU Multiplier

Hi Everyone. This is my first time posting here.

Ive got the xfx 680i sli mobo, e6850 3.0ghz 1333fsb, 4gb 2x2gb gskill pc6400 ddr2 800, rosewill ez775 heatsink and fan.

When I went to flash the bios after 1st getting it up and running I tried the XFX bios and it said it was incorrect. So I used the nvidia bios off the xfx page and it worked fine, so im assuming i have a nvidia board just shipped as xfx or something. Thats not what im concerned about it seems to work fine.

I cant turn the cpu multiplier up anymore than 9x. It says min 6x, max 9x in the bios. I flashed to the p30 bios on the xfx site as well.

In the ntune 5.05 utility which monitors temps pretty much exactly the same as the bios, I can change the cpu multiplier upto 11x but in the bios it still says 9x. Also, the board freezes up windows when trying to change the fsb more than 333.

Ive changed all the voltages up to:
cpu core - 1.5v
cpu fsb - 1.5
mem - 1.9v (they are rated for 1.8 and at auto they are 1.85v)
spp- 1.4v
all other auto.

Still cant increase past 9x multiplier in the bios. Would like to get to at least 11x.

Is the p30 bios alittle buggy, any suggestions on what I can do?

All Intel CPU's except for the extreme versions have the upper multis locked that appear above your CPU's default. It doesn't matter what you do or try with software, you will not be able to raise it, plain and simple, the thing with Ntune showing that it can be upped is a simple bug in their software for non extreme CPU's.

So you have no problem.
