EDIT:

BTW, after reading the rules of the contest, I bumped into this one. Can someone explain what the @#$k is that??? :ahhhhh::lol:

6. FOR CANADIAN RESIDENTS: If a Canadian resident is drawn as a winner, that person must answer correctly within a specified time a 4-function mathematical skill-testing question without the benefit of any mechanical calculating devices. The test will be administered at a prearranged, mutually convenient time or by email (as solely determined by Sponsor), before the prize will be awarded; and if the question is not correctly answered, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.

I was hoping the same, but I guess it's probably a stupid Canadian rule? Otherwise, there's nothing that can explain this stupid rule...:-?

It's a weird "rule", that's for sure :? I've never seen any other specific Canadian rule such as this one any of the other contests that I've entered... :?

I'm thinking about asking them (the site) for explanations. I think we (or at the canadians among us) deserve an explanation!

What do you think? Should I do it? Anyone volunteers?

I see that kind of rule often... Maybe it's a stupid Québec rule instead of a stupid Canadian rule. It has to do with proving that you're mentally competent or something...

I've often seen lottery tickets (from grocery store raffles and such) where the cashiers had already filled in the answer so customers wouldn't have to. :)

The questions are usually easy... BUT they don't use priority of operations, that always throws me off. :help:
