cpu usage reach 100%`

well, here it goes i have a intel core 2 duo 6400, when i use my adobe premiere pro cs3 my cpu usage reach 100% and when i close the program the cpu usage never went down and just freezes from there. Before i never had any problem with the program. i ran ad-aware, spybot, avg and defrag and nothing comes up. my pc idles at 80 to 100 without doing anything smconfig is clear and i don't know whats using my cpu.

go into task manager and see what is using it then just close that process

Make sure you don't have a virus.

Are you using Vista?

I have had this problem where even under task manager Vista won't show what's using up my CPU time. I can clearly see it is at 50% but under the process tab nothing is over 2%. Frustrating.

If you are using Vista I would check the program for any compatibility issues with Vista.
