I am currently working on a little mod for some amusment purposes. :ahhhhh:
I need to know this:
You are looking at the back of a power supply. You have it positioned so that the corners that are cut out of the power cable, are on top.
Which of the pins is ground, positive, and negative?
Also, if a case is not going to be made out of metal what should I do with the green wire in the power supply? Ground it directly?

The below picture may help you understand which is Negative, which is positive & which is ground. You can see the N,G & L in the pic.

If a case is not going to be made out of metal, then usually just screwing it into the case will ground it.
You may also connect the earth/ground( if you don't have any metal portion on your case) like this :-
Mobo screw --- Mobo ---> Standoff --- Ground lead ---> mobo tray
Make sure the little ground disk stays on the actual metal disk on the mobo.
I'll suggest you to attach the ground wire on your case by using a screw.
