It's been reported, that this card will come in at the $249.00 Price point. The fact that this bad boy can OC and take on the 2900XT,which is simply marvelous. You basically get the same card as the 2900XT for half the price and with DDR3 memory.

Man this card looks and performs badass! I noticed too the power hookups on this thing and must suck mucho electro juice. This is one card I will keep in mind. Would work well with the Asus Blitz Formula I am sure....hmmmmm Crossfire too...I forsee an awesome folding machine in the very near future for me if I go this route.
I like how a lot of the attention went into detail on this card. The cooling system looks awesome and I am sure it will perform the same as it looks.

HIS are known for their awesome cooling. This is why in the new codename thread i was boasting about this card. Funny thing is, this has HIGHER clocks than the other 2900pro ive seen from the UK. Im most deff going to get this, and flash that bios to XT and OC it even more.

Your remark caught my eye. I was going to say that it is no different than what is on the 2900XT, but after looking at a few shots, I was wrong. The 2900XT has 2 heatpipes while this one looks to sport 3.

Exactly which means some great OC'ing on this card. This card seems to be very well put together. I am going to start reading reviews on it from customers to see if the quality is up there and if it is I will get 2 of them and start my upgrading.

Looks like PP you've made an excellent decision. This is just a slighly lower clocked XT at half the price with similar looks but be sure to get a PSU which does have a 8-pin PCI-E connector. You won't be able to to use the ATI/AMD's "Overdrive" Overclock utility if you don't use an 8-pin connector.

Whoever you quoted about HIS having awesome cooling must be right. At least with the 2900PRO, their model is the only one so far with 3 heatpipes. The one from Sapphire looks to only have 2 (on both the 512MB and 1GB versions).

Sapphire's 1gb version already sold out on Newegg.

LOL, I missed that. I'm use to seeing the names of the person's comment in the quote box (i.e. orginally posted by such and such). sorry
