:jawdrop:

I've spent almost 24 hours now trying to fix my issue.

start off with specs:
E6600 core2duo 2.4 Unclocked
P5N32-e SLI Series mobo
2gb ddr2 set Corsair xms
onboard sound card =\
OCZ gaming fan, 600W
winxp pro sp2
my rig: http://myjunk.3322entertainment.com

and my new XFX 8800GTS ddr320mb card.

every game i play it crashes. ive test with BioShock, transformers, The hell in vietnam, and more.

at first, i was getting a BSOD with a Kmixer.sys error which is sound related or a bogus 0x0000007F error. so i just simply turned off speakers and disabled sound. things got better, but not for much longer, until i started to experience just crashing to windows, or just freezing up during the game, so that i was forced to restart.

i have no idea what i should do next, i've tried tuning it, and running the power n voltage nvidia monitor.

i thought maybe the cheap sound card is causing all this? but why?

my card does seem to be getting very hot , and someone also brought the fact to me, that the fan might not be running as fast as it should be?

it seems like an overheating issue, but i don't think so.

oh right, and lately when i try to put video card settings back to normal by fixing the networking options, my system crashes with a
DRIVER_IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error
NVNRM.SYS

I've tried researching known issues between the card and mobo, but i'm having no luck and I have no one else to ask, which is the reason why I am here.

any resolving insight?....I am forever in debt with you.

thanks for reading & your time!
take care.

(and happy turkey-day btw)

1.Try overclocking or underclocking your graphics card memory by about 10MHz with Ntune or RivaTuner and then try the game.

If that doesn't help,then :-
-------------------------

2.Try uninstalling all the Nvidia drivers from your system including Network Adapter driver, graphics card driver, audio driver & every Nvidia drivers. Then download the mother board driver from Asus & download the latest Nvidia display driver. Then install both the mobo drivers & the display drivers. There are no issues between the mobo & the graphics card.Try uninstalling the old drivers & installing latest drivers from Asus & Nvidia & try using all the default settings for every parts like let the CPU,Ram & your graphics card run at default settings.keep us updated.

If you had a different video card previously, did it give you the same problems?

Also this by chance wasn't a hardware upgrade and that you didn't do a fresh install of windows?

Very good recommendations and if they do not work please start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com and let me know the ticket number.

I have been trying many many things, and i just don't have the time during the week because of school and all. but, i have started a ticket with someone, and I am also starting to think its my motherboard. now that I replaced the video card with my old one, it seems to play games for longer, but after so long it eventually freezes, not so much the BSOD's or crashing to windows, just freezing up so i have to forcely reset the system.

unfortunately i don't have another system i can stick this card in, but im still trying to figure out the symptom's and I believe it has to do something with the motherboard....... so im not sure why im posting this or asking this forum, but any insight is appreciated.

i tried pulling out video cards and ram, then starting up system, and i'm experiencing no beeping noises :(
