i have assembled a system with following config:
mobo: XFX 650i Ultra
Proc: C2D E6550
Grfx Card: XFX 8600 GT
The problem iam facing is that system is shutting down intermediately without any warning or beep sound. Now i have tried changing RAM & PSU without any change.Sometime after a shutdown when booting up iam getting message of
Warning system in safe mode. Please reset your CPU frequency in the CMOS setup. But again the system shuts down. When booting up again i don't get that message.Does anybody has any solution for this? The motherboard is hardly 3 weeks old.

Try reseating your CPU if you have not done so already.

Did you update the motherboard bios before you installed that CPU? If it does not have the latest BIOS on the mobo it will have problems with a 1333FSB CPU.

I took the mobo to Rashi Peripherals from where i bought it.They did a BIOS update after which the mobo seemed to be some what stable. Then yesterday i was trying to install a game from cd during which system got hanged. I restarted the system up on which power was coming but POST was not happening. There was no message on the monitor.I shutdown the system for 1 minute and tried booting with same result. After resetting the bios it started working. But now whenever i try restarting the system or when i shutdown and start again the POST is not happening.I have to shutdown and start again after some time for the system to work.Iam getting a CMOS checksum error default value loaded message.Iam not able to do any save in the BIOS.Please help me in resolving the problem

Are you able to access the the BIOS and load the defaults settings from their?
Try taking out the battery and disconnecting all power connectors to you motheboard and wiat 10-15mins, and then put the battery back in and plug the power connectors back to see if that helps.

This sounds very similar to a problem I'm having with a 650i mobo. I found the machine would work for around 6 - 7 days then power off for no reason.
I've updated the BIOS to P03, it was running BIOS P01 & 1333MHZ FSB which apparently shouldn't work according to XFX!, so hopefully the problem will be fixed now.
