Alright well I RMA'd this: PV-T71G-UDE7.
XFX said it was faulty, wondering what would be a replacement that is on par with my card? And furthermore, do they give you choices or do you have to stick with what they give you?

My XFX 7950 AGP failed on me yesterday and i paid 230 dollars for it so i guess what i would expect is a 8600GTS XXX, even though its a little slower its better than that card because it dosen't fail as much, i mean, i played crysis for like an hour and now its dead
come on, that sucks
i think your 7900 should get the same replacement though, but it really sucks because man, the 7950 costs 240 dollars at newegg and the 8600 XXX isn't that much, but i guess it wouldn't be THAT bad seeing how its not gonna die after playing a game for a little while
man
I'm not busting on XFX or anything because they have the BEST warranty out of any other card, its just that the 7900 series has massive overheating problems.
im just glad my pc has both AGP and PCI E

the motherboard i have now has AGP AND PCI-EXPRESS X16, i also have another mobo but its only PCI E but i haven't even opened it yet, its an Asus P5N(the wifi version)
Jersey, has a PCI-E card, mine was AGP, thats why it costed so much but since i already have a PCI-E board i don't see a reason to stay with AGP anymore, i can only hope that an 8600GTS is equivalent to a 7950GT

Yeah, Its PCI-E. I'm only hoping I get 7900 or maybe 7950. I hear the 8600 is actually worse then 7900, but on the plus side it has DX10. I don't know, maybe I'll get something good:grin:

I hope XFX will be nice to me as well, it will let me test my new Asus P5N
I gotta agree with you there Jersey as a 7950 owner, the next step up from the 7900GT, or GS even is the 8800GTS, it really sucks though because the 8800GTS is a little faster than the 7900GT, but i don't think they will give out a 8800GTS but if you look down theres a 8600GTS, and even the fastest one available is not actually truly equivalent to a 7900GT. Its like of like the 7900/7950 are on the thin line between love and hate, I wouldn't like a 8600GTS but I love to have a 8800GTS but then again I DO NOT want any 7900 series card because their problem ridden, so I'm actually thinking downgrading to a 8600GTS isn't that bad in that respect, its not gonna lock up or freeze while playing games unless i get one from a bad batch but i thought that the XFX warranty says that they would sent a card of equal or greater performance than the card you RMA. I saw somewhere on the board a comparison by bjorn3d(this forum) and the 7950(7900) clearly beat the 8600GTS XXX edition in basically everything and matched the 8800 in some tests so i still don't get it. So me and my Asus P5N are waiting to see what happens.
I love typing,
