Hey all, bought two 650i ultra boards, installed both, went to power them up and....one powers up, fans run, and two little leds light up in opposite corners of the board but I get no further; the other does nothing on pushing the start button, but the little yellow light comes on in the corner.

On the first, I suppose it is possible that it is a vid card issue, which I will test later today. The second? Sounds bleak to me.

Is it really possible I got two DOA boards in one shipment? That really stinks, because I am building these systems for someone, and this would be the second set of DOA boards...how's that for luck?

Anyhow, insights would be good here, I am hoping to not have to make them wait for yet another shipment to arrive.

I did start a support ticket for this (113050), FYI.

If you swap all the hardware form once mobo to the other does each mobo still have the same issue or does the problem change? As far as two faulty systems at the same time, it is possible, but unlikely. Keep us posted.

I have reason to believe I have one faulty board and one faulty vid card, in separate computers right now. I am going to swap the vid cards tonight and see whats up there. Talk about bad luck..

Are you sure all other hardware works? I would try taking out all but one RAM module if more then one is installed. Also try switching out CPU's and video of course. Also, what power supply(s) are you driving these with?

I have now gotten one system working. It was booting, but no video, so I swapped vid cards, and it started right up. The other? The board doesn't power up, but I have yet to really delve into the problem on that one, because I really wanted to get the running system out my door (built for a friend, starting to get impatient) I believe I will have to get a new vid card to replace that one before I can fully troubleshoot this.
