Hey peeps, it was just under a month ago i joined here having problems with my new 7950Gt, the card was replaced and all was good for 3 weeks, it was playing BF2142 fantastically with my 64FX, then last week mid game in BF2142 the game crashed.....

rebooted the computer and artifacts everywhere, took card out and put back in and the same problem, tried in a different PC and again the same problem... seems it is cooked

Submitted a support ticket last tuesday, still awaiting RMA number at the mo, is there a version of this card that dosent have the burn out problem?? or am i likley to get another ticking time bomb?

Cheers

You are just having bad luck, mine as been working for over a month. Did you try using the other DVI port on the back of the card? Sometimes only one goes bad.

Havent tried using the other port, but then I have just got a new 32" HD tv that the other port will go to, so only having 1 working is no good any way, need to get it replaced.

hopefully with one that wont cook its self, just seems like XFX support is being very slow... been a week and still no RMA

hopefully 3rd times a charm and it will be ok!

I will team with Europe support team to help get the ball rolling for you. But as many of you may or may not know, my influence is limited on that side of the big lake.

Same here...This will be my second RMA for this card as well. First did not work from the start. The second one worked awesome till tonight. Pretty ticked off and I have asked the technician if there is another card as well. I have no more faith in this one. I just want something that works. I am not spending a damn fortune on shipping for this card.

yes this is my worry also, I like the card and im impressed with the performance... but then i dont want to be sending it back every month... esp as the warrenty over here is only a year from what i can tell...

im hoping the replacement i get will be a different version without the issues that soo many of these cards have...

also i requested an RMA 9 das ago and noting yet apart from a "have you tried it in another PC" last week..... plus Ebuyer wont take it back without a ref from XFX so at the mo no one seems to want to take it back....
