There you have it boys. The 8800GT spanks the HD2900XT and both GTS's and OCd id say it will take on the GTX.

MSI 8800GT spotted.

http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/2135/msigeforce8800gta167919fb1.jpg

* 600MHz core clock
* 900Mhz memory clock (1.8GHz effective)
* 112 stream processors
* 1.5GHz shader clock
* 256-bit memory interface

We need to wait untill 29th of october.Looks like Fudzilla was exactly right that the G92 will be the 8800GT which is codenamed D8E/D8P & it'll be launched on 29th October.I've heard, Nvidia is thinking of releasing 50000 cards on 29th of October.Let's see.Only minus point will be the lack of DX10.1 support.

The specs for the Foxconn one has been released as well. I just like to see that Fatal1ty cooler being used on that one site. Makes me feel good lol. Makes me wonder how the HD2950pro will handle against this.

I am not sure if it was marked right but i believe i saw an 8800gt at my local bestbuy for 300 it was either sold out or not in stock. To make sure, i was looking how all there other products were labeled and yes it was the 8800gt.

Well then Best Buy is at it again and if they arent careful will probably get sued by nVidia. Those cards arent supposed to be out until the 29th.

Rumored price is $249 for the 512MB version and $199 for the 256MB version but expect to pay more obviously as when do retailer ever sell product at their MSRP?

If you want a Fatal1ty look just slap a sticker on it because thats all it really is (for the 8800GTS Fatal1ty anyways).

Surely you jest. With those crazy high clocks the Fatal1ty edition was spanking other 320MB cards and keeping pace with 640MB cards.

Though me thinks DX10 will put a stop to that soon enough. MORE VRAM!

The Fatal1ty 320 was keeping up with the GTX as well :ahhhh:

This makes no sense whatsoever lol. The card was suppose to fill in the gap between the 8600GTS and the 8800GTS, not beat the 8800GTS (at least the name implies it). 8800GTS's range from $290 and go up to $400; this card would have to be priced between $350-$500 since it's a "killer". Either that, or dramatically lower the prices of the GTS's.

Nobody is going to pay more for a GTS if the GT outperforms it. :roll:

maybe they will upgrade the 8800 gts series to keep in scaled....
but I'm happy to see these news, this sounds like the card that I've been waiting for, and as a bonus, I already know my zalaman cooler fits....

This card is supposed to phase out the 320GTS btw.

Guys, there is a reason why I only said "If you want a Fatal1ty look". :roll:

Read much?

8800GTS 320MB is suppose to be replaced by the 8800GT and the 8800GTS 640MB is supposed to get an upgrade in the form of more stream processors but how knows if all of this is true; we'll have to wait and see.

Thats good news for everyone.
Im sure they will sell like hotcakes.
I mean almost GTX performance for such a low price is good enough.

Whether this article from Fudzilla is true or not it sound interesting: D8P/G92, 8800GT is very overclockable (http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3786&Itemid=34)

If they're going to phase out the current GTS's completely it might not be entirely bad for those of us that bought already.

I sense a lot of companies will be getting defective "beyond repair" cards pretty soon :lol:
