Can anyone offer any advice im getting 15k ish in 3dmark06 and 22FPS in crysis with all on very high, im unable to add my machines specs as ive just registered! they are:
Vista ultimate 64
Q6600 g0 @ 3.2ghz
4 GB of Corsair PC2-6400 @1050
2 x XFX 8800 ultra xt in SLI
XFX 680i (P31 bios)
Tagan turbojet 1100w
150gb raptor
2 x 500gb western digital 7500 rpm
SLI doesnt make any improvements at all crysis just makes it worse! thats the same with the new 01 and 02 drivers, ive also tried the older 75 drivers as someone said it helped for them? NOT ME. SLI adds another 1k to 3dmark06 when enabled! but im gutted as this spec should run like a dream??
Please help!:help:

I have seen issues like this before. Do you get performance increases in other applications, such as 3dmark06, Bio shock, and other intesive applications?

Word has been going around that SLI in Crysis running on Vista doesn't quite work yet. As for your 3DMark06 score, that looks about right to me.

Dont trust anythign you see in crysis. Its completely unoptimized at the moment.

Thanks do you think it would be worth reverting back to XP?

alternatively, have you tried testing each card separately?
it really wouldnt surprise if it were a mix of Operating system, drivers and the game causing problems, since all three are relatively new.
can you try the vista 32bit edition and/or one card (no SLI), maybe nvidia have been able to create a more stable driver for that version of vista since it's the more commonly used version.
if installing XP works, wouldnt that just mean you may as well have two SLI DX9 card's? so is it DX10 SLI support thats lagging behind.
i would've thought you would have scored much highier, my single 8800GTX on a 939 system hits just under 10K on 3Dmark06, most systems similar to yours with single 8800GTX hit about 13K and up (i think). whats your scores at stock standard computer settings?
whats your CPU score, what are the other two scores?
have you played with the video driver settings to see if you can squeeze more performance from the system?

I have played around a bit and managed these scores in 3dmark06:
1 x 8800 ultra
14417 3dmarks
5857 SM2.0
6254 HDR/SM3.0
4541 CPU SCORE
2 X 8800 ULTRA SLI
16785 3Dmarks
6470 SM2.0
8052 HDR/SM3.0
4705 CPU SCORE
Do these scores look good? I have no idea! any ideas on how to improve them? maybe with a little OC'ing? :ahhhhh:

the 169.01 BETA driver are available now and make the improvements your looking for in crysis with SLI. CRYSIS is a pre release demo still guys and SLI requires a profile....
anyways, if you want the drivers with the SLI profile for crysis head on over to Nvidia and grab the 169.01 betas.

Those scores are perfectly fine. I have a geforce 8800 GTS which I overclocked and Im getting 12k. Just because you have two cards doesnt nessicarly mean that your score is doubled. But those scores are really good. 16k is amazing you will be able to run any game whatsoever with ease.

I say again, those scores are normal so don't worry...

I say again, those scores are normal so don't worry...I agree, the single card score is great, the SLI score is nice.
the SLI SM2.0 score is 9.5% better, the SLI HDR/SM3.0 score is 22.3% better, even the CPU Score is 3.4% better in SLI.
so at first glance, the SLI performance does look low but once the scores are broken down, it appears that the drivers are optimised for HDR/SM3.0
a 22.3% increase is really nice since the newer games would be using HDR/SM3.0 instead of SM2.0
so it appears my assumption that you should have scored highier is wrong  I'm learning every day
have you tried playing crysis without SLI. I'm just thinking if the game isnt optimised for SLI on vista, then maybe thats dropping performance. if it runs better without SLI, just play crysis without SLI until a new patch for the game comes out.
