I recently bought on of these great cards, but im having some glitching issues with it.

When i first noticed when i ran 3dmark06 for the first time, so i jumped on the net and found this forum and did a small underclock. After that it came right.

Dropped the Clockcore down to 630 and the memory clock to 1095

Now a few days later it has come back again, but not as bad.
Temps from rivatuner show it hitting currently around the 85c when in full load.

System specs are as follows.

Q6600 @ stock speeds
Asus p5k deluxe
4GB DDR2-800
750w Silverstone PSU.

Any ideas ?

Is anything else in your system overclocked, memory or CPU? Make sure everything is at standard speeds. If you havent start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com and let me know the ticket number.

Try different drivers.

v169.04 betas were just released.

just as XFX support has said, make sure everything is at factory settings.

the artifact your seeing is usually caused by VRAM.
you could try the new drivers (make sure to use driver cleaner when removing the drivers, read the instrucions carefully). If the new drivers dont help then you could try this, leave the GPU clock speed at the default speed (the default extra extreme speed) and drop the Vram speed to 999Mhz.

if trying the new drivers doesnt help but lowering the Vram does, let us know so XFX support can advise further.

Ive tried a few different driver versions with no joy. I will check out dropping the vram and try the new 169.04 drivers after work.

In a way don't we all have similar parts in one way since a computer uses the same type of components? LOL

not me. My computer is made out of macaroni and paste. and my Gpu is made from 100% pure whale bone. Yes as you can see I went all out with my GPU.

You got ripped off whereever you bought your parts from.

Did you by chance by then out of the back of a van parked down an alley?

Lower the core speed to 600 that is plenty fast or as low as it can go, and as long as ur ram is above 900 that is awsome.

If thats the case i will hang onto the card until ive played Crysis and then return it to the store.
Might as well get what i paid for as it will make it easier to resell later on next year.
