I'm having huge problems with my graphics card and have raised a ticket with the number 116087.

Basically, my comptuer freezes up when i play games. The better the game the faster the computer freezes (games like Crysis and Call of duty 4). I can't even get back to windows. I have tried every driver nvidia has released recently to try and fix this issue but nothing has worked.
I cannot send it back to Dabs.com becasue they do not suply the graphics card anymore and have only offered a refund. I would really like this card working.

Try down clocking the video card, if that helps then I can toss a bios your way that will up the clocks on the core and lower it on memory that might take care of your issue.

What are your other spec but more importantly your power supply?

Has this always happened since you bought the video card?

Try using RivaTuner:

if you get lost with rivatuner, try ATItool (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=725).
downclock it to standard speeds and make sure your not just lowering the 2D speeds, you need to underclock the 3D speeds

Sounds like it could be a faulty video card. But you may want to also test out the RAM. Try using only one stick of RAM at a time or a program like Memtest if you can get ahold of it. If the memory tests ok you may want to see if you can exhance the video card through your reseller.

Try pulling your sound card and using onboard sound. I have an 8800 ultra OC and was having the same problem. After trying all the solutions in the forums with no luck, I remembered an old adage from DOS gaming: If you are having random crashes, it is probably a sound card issue. I pulled my X-Fi Extreme gamer and the freezes/crashes stopped completely.

tried both of those solutions no joy. I am trying to go through XFX as dabs.com will not supply me with a replacement card, they have only offered a refund.
Will XFX not offer me a new card?

I will send an email over to the Europe team to find out if its possible. However it is a rare card so if they dont have any of them stock they might not be able to replace it.

It is such a rare card, if the place you got it from is offering a full refund I would take it.
