View Full Version : 8800GT Performance, Lets See It!!

As most of you know we launched the 8800GT 512MB version video card and customers love it. Who has gotten one and lets see some benchmarks! Also I do know that Bjorn3d will be doing a review on not only the 8800GT but the XXX version so keep on the look out for that one!

He just got back and I confirmed the plan. Sorry for the delay but we wanted to ensure Bjorn3d got the XXX version, not the run of the mill 8800GT that everyone else gets.

Just got a xfx 8800gt alpha dog.....the stock clock edition.

Posted 3dmark06 scores of 9175 right out the box.....

Played around a little with clocks and got 9400.....was hoping for a little better....but this thing rocks. This is with the 167.?? drivers that came with it.

My system is an MSI P965 m/b with E6400 cpu and 2G ddr2 667 mem running XP Home.



Does this sound right folks?

My 8800GT is having the following problem, If I run games as FEAR, Bioshok or FarCry, or applications as 3dMark03 or nTune Stability Test, I start seeing artifacts a few minutes after the application start running, and a few seconds after that the PC hangs. I've been reading a lot of forums and this is happening to a lot of people. The only solution I found was to underclock the memory frecuency from 950 (1900 effective) to 936. If I do that and the problem stops happening. Should I RMA the card? I repeat... a lot of people is having the same issue.

I recently bought a xfx 670 core gt and I gained 1400 points in 3dmark 06 from a xfx gts 320mb And it does play Crysis with 2xaa some things on max some on high and shaders on medium. Ordered my second one seconds ago hope you guys have some drivers that will help an Sli setup for Crysis

I have similar system specs as you, except I have a Dell xps410 (E6420, 4GB ddr2 667mhz RAM). Out of the box I got a 9080 with the 169.25 beta drivers in 3dMark06. Bumping the clocks up to match the 670mhz version of the card, I got it up to 9331. That's as far as I went. My cpu score was only around 1800 or so. I think once the Q6600 goes down in price a little more I may pick up one of those. Hoping that will get me closer to 12000.
