LOL all they show is the score. Where is the stock and OC'd settings? LOL
You gotta love those company biased demos.
Yeah. It seems just like the optimizer in ntune.... or in other words, useless. Although I'll give it the benefit of the doubt because ntune is pretty crappy.

Overdrive was pretty good back when I was using my ATI 9600XT... it overclocked the card as far as it could go, I couldn't push it 1MHz higher.
That was back when Powercolor was the one of the few companies supporting Overdrive though, before ATI themselves started officially offering it for all cards.
Found another video with more information on the program. This time he shows his work before and after. He OC'd from 2.2Ghz to 3Ghz in a snap. You got to admit Werty, this is pretty impressive. ;-)

What part are you suggesting was impressive? The OC or AMD's Overddrive software? The OC is quite impressive since its a native quadcore but AMD probably chose a handpicked chip for this video plus it looks like the chip used is from the FX lineup and those things won't be cheap. None the less that video was interesting to say the least. However one thing I was thinking about is he drop the multiplier before he even started to OC, unless a FX chip was used, so it would appear he abtained that OC.
AMD's Overdrive software is neat but I prefer BIOS overclocking and always will.
I was reffering to both, the overclock and the software. ;-)
BIOS will always reign supreme. This software just takes oc'ing to a whole new level for intermediate overclockers or users that just want to squeeze a little more performance out of their system that aren't so fond of going through the BIOS.
lol, we all know how intimidating the BIOS can be for the first time.

I like that you mentioned "intermediate overclockers" because, even though its software based to make things easier, Overdrive isn't for novice beginners who have never OC anything in their life.
lol, we all know how intimidating the BIOS can be for the first time.
Especially those hardcore enthusiast boards made by companies like DFI.
