Hi
I have the 7950GT agp graphics card, which now has a faulty port (still wondering if it is worthwhile swopping)
My hardware:
Pentium 4 3.4Ghz
Kingston HyperX 2GB ram
Asus p4c800-e deluxe
Windows Xp pro Sp2, all updates installed
Nvidia 163.75 drivers installed (driver version makes no difference)
I run Half-Life 2, Ep1, Ep2, TF2 etc all on max settings and the resolution set to 1152x864, all games run without any issues. No artifacts, flashing textures etc.
If I play Age of Empires III or any of the expansion packs, also at 1152x864 and all settigns on high, I get flashing textures and if I move off the screen to a black area you can see flashing white dots.
I was not expecting the Age of Empires III games to stress the card more the HL2.
The card does nto get any hotter than 58C when running so it does not seem like a heat issue
Any ideas? It is most fustrating
