Hello guys and gals!

I bought this 7600GT XxX at the beggining of the year, everything worked fine up until the start of this month when suddenly games started to show artifacts, like overstretching textures and wrong colors. Also, Windows shows some strange(green, pink, blue) pixels on the desktop background image.

Actually, those strange pixels shows in any image that has black in it.

Well, I touched the card and it was VERY hot to the touch... So I went ahead and bought an Evercool Turbo2 cooler for it... And problems persist, it still is very hot to the touch.

I'm pretty certain it is overheating because those problems go away when I open the side of my case and turn a BIG tabletop blower I have to blow on the video card.

Is it normal for this video card to heat SO MUCH like this....?!

Please help, thanks!

Many times video cards can run around 75-80c and thats about 175f which would be pretty darn hot to the touch. What are the actual temps load and idle for the video card? Were any changes made before this started to happen? You can also try using rivatuner or ntune to downclock the video card to see if that helps. I also recommend you start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com and let me know the number.

Well, the card's running at 48ºC idle and 58/59ºC while playing... So I guess it isn't related to overheating at all.

Nope, no hardware changes at all.

Here are my specs:

Intel E6300 processor at stock speed
Intel DG965SS motherboard
Kingston 1Gb(512x2) DDR2 667MHz memory
Seventeam ST-420BKV PSU
XFX GeForce 7600GT XxX Edition with Evercool's Turbo2 cooler.

Here is the Ticket# 119847.

Thank you!
