Well, it's over. I went to Fry's that day and they had cops directing traffic because there was over 2000 people in the store at once.

I saw the newspaper ad they had for that day and saw 8800GT's advertised for $150!!!!!!!!

I went crazy and had to get my hands on one. Sadly, they were out once I got there (comes to me as no surprise ). Actually, by the time I got there everything on special was pretty much gone. The checkout line wrapped around the entire store. Estimated wait, roughly 4 hours. :help:

To top it off, I almost got a ticket for Jaywalking. Luckily, the cop let us go. I would have blamed it on my cousin afterwords anyway.

So anybody else get some nice deals?

They have XFX Nforce 680I boards for $159.99 now.

Yeah I heard that Frys had some amazing cpu/motherboard combos on special.

Intel Core 2 Duo Q6600 + ECS 671T-M mobo - $198.99
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 + Abit IP35-E mobo - $238.99 - $40 rebate = $198.99
Athlon X2 Black Edition-5300 + ECS Mobo Combo - $58.99

The ECS mobo combos sucks. The board that was bundled with the X2 is the same thing i have. A micro ATX POS that will make you want to shoot yourself after an hours worth of working with it. Can you say DDR2 800 @ 667 speeds?

I didn't go out, but was up pretty late. Before I went to bed I jumped on a few websites and scored a few items online. Staples sit was getting hammered, but I got a $50 leather computer chair that they typically sell for about $160, Microsoft cordless laser keyboard and mouse 6000 for $25, battery backup $35, 2 GPS's for $99. Had the cheap laptop in my cart and was getting ready to checkout, but when I went back to add the free router and printer it sold out before I got back to checkout. I'm kicking myself fo that one.

I also scored a few Wii and 360 games that Amazon for next to nothing.

I refuse to go out for the sales on Black Friday. I did about 5 years ago and it was rediculous. When I found out that people waited in line for 20 to 24 hours just to save a few dollars I realized that it was not the day for me to be out shopping. I do most of my shopping online anyway.

I stayed home this Black Friday... found out many of the deals were also online, got quite a few freebie deals. My only regret was Fry's isn't local to here. From everything I've read the lines this year were the biggest in BF history, and just about everywhere from the sound of it.

I don't think Cyber-Monday is going to even compare to the online deals on Black Friday itself, although ClubIT has a few more good buys planned again.

I was out when i saw people camping out at 3am. Kohls was open at 4am. It was sad indeed.
