Ok, ever since ive gotten my internet i use torrenting to get big files from friends. Like for instance my friends Oblivion saves are 2gig, so i get them from him by Torrent ect. Catch my drift? Anyways, its taking days to get a 4gig file when it should have taken at most 2. For some dumb reason it will go up .1% then a little later go back down. Like im watching right now and its downloading at a steady 55-60k/s and it was at 97.6% then dropped to 97.5!! It then dropped back to 97.4% and now its back at 97.5%. Anybody have any idea why this is happening? Ive uploaded 6.68gig already which is over how big the file is. When i left my house at 11pm it said about 2 hours left. I just got home and its 3:12am and it says 1 hour 39 minutes. What kinda crap is that? And nobody was home to hog the bandwidth and nobody else use our internet.

how many seeds are you connected too?
the only time i have seen this happen is when i am DL and no seeds are connected, basically leaving ony 97% of the whole file available.
check your seeds and availability of the file
how many copies are available in the swarm?

Idk about the swarm but i was connected to 10 seeds.

i think part of the problem maybe the files are downloading as blocks, so if the blocks checks out bad, then it will redownload it. maybe try diff torrent software or update the software you are using.

THats exactly what it was. I went digging and i found that it trashed parts that wernt hashed right so it would delete that and redownload. Pretty cleve really.

Bitlord is the best torrent software for me so far.It downloads using the full bandwidth available.

I use Azureus at the moment. Works quiet well. I was looking at other ones too but I did not have a good reason to change yet.
