My Family is really Anti Gay I mean like, REALY.

I came out to my mother and father A few weeks ago and they FREAKED.

I got "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME" From my mom and "GO TO HELL FAGGOT" From my stepfather :/ Yea Kinda Not awesome. It's really upsetting. My younger sister Said she doesn't give a **** Because I'm still her big brother
And that was nice... But Eh I've really got no-one to talk to and this is a really crappy situation :/

I've been trying to come out to my other sense I was 12 :/ (I know that seems really odd and VERY early) But I've been scared because of her views.

My whole life I was told "Gays a sin, Gay is a way for Satan to take over your soul.

My mom didn't expect to have a Gay son after feeding me lies for years upon years.

I think the reason why she was saying those things was she already knew and tried to get you to avoid it. You can tell when people feel really helpless when they include religion into the mix. Nothing like insanity to help a sane situation.

Being gay has nothing to do with religion sheesh. Some people are dumb. Look they will get over it, since they are conservative its going to take some time. Try to take what they say really lightly right now. If i was ever gay and i told my parents im sure they wouldnt give a rats ass. But i could be wrong :/ They are wierd like that. I just wouldnt let anything they say get to me. Course, i can ignore people easily.

We have known one of our mates was gay for ages, but he never told his mum. Then his mum found a stash of gay porn mags under his bed, needless to say he couldnt talk his way out of that one.

At the start we thought his mum was going to disown him, but eventually (like 6 months or more) she gave up on the hating and just loved her son for who he is, and they are all good again. Just give it time and hide under your bed for a while when your home?

Just stand proud. Ill admit im pretty homophobic (In my own ways) but ive always been tought to stand up for what you believe in. Dont let them try and pressure you at all or try to put crap in your head.

I have known people who are gay. I have no hate for them. My father is a much stricter man than I am and can not stand them.

With that said. I give the OP a lot of credit for coming out and saying what he said to his parents. It must have been hard and I am sure the next few months will be challenging.

Though it doesn't change the fact that homosexuality is sinful. It is explicitly listed as such in the Bible. Perhaps you all are against religion and thus ignore such things. I on the other hand look around at the world and see how the further we move away from God and the teachings of Jesus the worse the world becomes.

I am not here to preach to anyone and I myself am certainly not without sin. When I read how everyone gangs up on religion and how it is the PC thing to tell people who are gay it is ok, I have to voice my opinion.

I am sure I will be flamed for my comments but I believe in the Bible the way everyone else fights against it. In the end, one way or the next, we will find out the truth.

Well, Even if it's listed as a sin in the Bible.
It Is in-fact a way of population control; the human population is growing at a pace that is killing off the earth Animals stay in check because many animals die before they reach an age they can reproduce. Humans have medicine and such and we live up to 100 years. That would be okay if people didn't have so many children But because people have to many children it means that the population is growing at a high rate. We used to co-exist with the planet giving back what we take. Now because of such a large population We have in-fact become a parasite By definition. So eh... Sin, natural population control, Same thing right?

I am pretty involved in my church. I am a presbyterian. I do not believe being gay is a sin.

1-the human soul has no gender

2-the Bible has been changed so many times throughout history that it's hard to know what was originally said.

The only things I think that are still pretty much the same are the ten commandments.

Why can't we all just love each other?

I believe this. Everybody is entitled to their own life. (Trying to be comical to lighten things) If he likes fudge then let him like what he wants. So it IS a Sin to be gay. Well you know what? Jesus died on the cross for all our Sins so id say its perfectly ok for hiim to be gay.

And idk what your talking about in the beginning of your post Gonz. Me being homophobic? Yea i am, its in a way of ill be your friend until you hit on me. Then im your enemy. Thanks for the help Guys, I Talked with my mother and she said she was sorry for over-reacting and that she still cares about me she said she always kind of knew but never wanted to believe it.
