Just wondering if that's a feature you guys want to add? I think it's pretty cool. What are your guys thoughts on it?

You mean like embedding the youtube videos in our posts?

Don't they disable that because of a security thing?

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. I'm not sure if they disable that because of security reasons. Maybe somebody would like to enlighten us here? :smile:

A link to the youtube video works just as well, and keeps the forum cleaner ;)

The reason is actually easy to understand....Hackers. If they allow the video's to be embedded the you will open up a whole new hosts of problems with people using error codes to gain access to many parts of the website or database. Hackers are relentless and will try to constantly attack websites just for bragging rights with other hackers. It's these types of buttmonkeys that ruin it for everyone else. Not to mention what spammers can do as well if the html was turned on.

I always thought embedded videos in posts was a nice thing. Saves time, but if it's a security issue....

Only evil hackers do that Sadasius, and among them only evil computer related hackers. Don't lump the whole group into one. It makes me sad :bawling:.

You're right of course though. Enabling embedded video would openup all kind of vulnerabilities to this forum. It's really a better trade off this way.
