The game is awesome. Even on the 360 the graphics are good. My son has beaten the single player. I can't find as much time to play it as I want.

Great game, but even though I've seen the price as low as $37 I have held off due to the short sp campaign, as I don't play mp anymore. I may wait until I see it for $30.

Actually Frag, I'm not sure if it is the same in the PC version (I think so) but inthe 360 version after you beat it it opens up an arcade version which allows you to play levls through on time and to get high scores. So there is a bit more in it even if you beat it.

Even with the short SP I was blown away by it. It's been a while since I just could not stop myself from playing and finising the game.

You shold try MP also though. I think they have made a very clever system and there are a ton of fun ways to play it. I've started to play the hardcore setting where you ahve no HU and bullets are much more deadly. That is realy fun.

Agreed with Bjorn.

COD4 is the first game that will replace Battlefield 2's multiplayer mayhem for me. I was a huge America's Army fan too, but COD4 blends some of the most amazing things about both titles. It's thoughtful and strategic, realistic, and ultra violent joy. And the knife kill is awesome. Buy it.

Yeah SB the type of challenges you speak of are getting more common, either via achievements or in this case the unlocks, which I feel is a better way to do it.

One thing I hate about the achievement system MS got started with the Xbox is you have to be playing in online mode for it to register results. To me this is yet anther thing that makes it obvious MS is trying to get people used to being hooked in to their servers while playing.

If there's one game that may get me back into some mp play though it's CoD4. I've heard a lot of people rave about it. I have also heard some say that lots of servers are riddled with grenade and RPG spammers though, so I'm not sure if it's going to feel as tactical as previous CoD mp, which I have tried.

Yeah we all know you HATE Microsoft, consoles, XBox Live and all that goes with it. I think you've said that numerous times already. I have a healthy PC that I game on sometimes as well, but I still enjoy my consoles.

Lol, thanks for trying to tell me my 55" HDTV picture looks pitiful, I would have never known if you hadn't :) I'd rather play on it than my 22" monitor anyday.

What you said is false, you do not have to be logged in for your achievements to stick. I have played oflfline and recieved achievements and they still show. XBox live will pick it up if you ever decide to log in. I think you let your bias speak for you again.

XBox Live is much easier to find games through than Steam much of the time and I don't have to constantly refresh server list or fight for a spot on a good server running a certain map. It is much easier for me and some friends to group together and join a game. We don't have to find the same server name in a list or write down IP address to get on the same server, nor do we have to fight to all get on the same server. Microsoft will get my money as long as they provide the excellent service they have to this point.

Now if only there were a great stock car sim on the 360 ;)

Yeah and I'm not only entitled to that opinion, there are many whom whole heartedly agree.;-) And yes, stretching a console game res to a 55" screen is playing the dot pitch game, are you sitting in your kitchen while you play? LOL

And no, the needing to be online for achievements is not false. You will only see the ones you already logged while playing online if you log in offline. Initially you need to be on the net while achieving them. I have experienced this in both Portal and GoW.

Why mention Steam, did I say I was a Steam advocate? Steam was created primarily to sell downloadable games, despite Valve claiming it was to protect content. Why is it console gamers always reduce things to the most convenient yet least versatile and cost effective path?

This game is great, I have it for the Xbox 360 version. I have friends playing on the PC version but I put a lot of work to get where I am now, not sure if I want to do it all over again:ahhhhh:.
