Changing the theme of a thread will not be tolerated. If one continues to do such things they will be banned for a period of time. If it continues they will be permantly banned.

To many threads are going off topic when it is easy to start a new thread about the new subject. I can not have this happening.

I either see a whole lot of banning or that the topics will actually stay on topic..., for once...

I just ordered all my textbooks on amazon. :offtopic:

I couldn't help it.

I don't think that was a good move on your side Miker. We will surly do our best Scott to stay on tipic. :)

I can admit that sometimes I got carried away and it happened to me a few times that I suddently realized that I've actually "hi-jacked" a thread.

I'll truly do my best NOT to do it again, but in case I DO, it's really not in purpose...;-)

Anyway, I apologize in advance and I'll do my best to stay on topic!!! :icon_tiphat:

Kill'em all, Kill'em all :), ok that my be a little to harsh for thread hijacking.
Well not all threads are the same, if a thread has a very specific theme then it can be annoying if it gets hijacked, but others are not so well defined. Hijacking one is not exactly the same as hijacking the other.
Luckily for me i don't get to be the judge in these matters.

Nice to see a forum where rules are enforced :icon_tiphat:
Another forum I frequent has so much thread jacking that it has become common place and the forum mods rarely if ever do anything about it.

Hmmm....well I guess it's better to specific now then to let it get out of hand. I like slugbug have seen all sorts of mayhem occur when a forun was a little to lax in enforcing these types of things. It seems like nothing now, but once this sort of thing gets out of hand it's hard to stop.

I know I do it from time to time without even realizing it. I will try to be more concious about it! :keepfolding:

Now thats funny :) .

maybe a warning from other users as well . if you see another member jacking a thread pm them or tell em in the thread (nicly ) so no one does get booted ...

I may accidentally place the bananna on the rail of the thread, but it's not on purpose :keepfolding:

I think we're all guilty of doing it here or on another forum I can't help but feel that important sometimes thankfully I can just edit it out ;)

This is a good idea.
Makes the forms 'cleaner'

Interesting, it is hard to maintain a single topic at times. It seems topics tend to balloon as the thread grows. I can see the relevance though.

does that include sub-topic conversations of a limited nature? if so, I need a warning...

unless you got a warning from inside the thread or PM i would not worry about it too much. we all jack the threads from time to time.. I am also guilty as all hell too.

Gotcha, it's good to hear that moderators won't tolerate trolling on here.

What's up with all the keep folding signs? I'm just kidding. I will try my best to stay on topic.

Speaking of which, amazon is where I order all my textbooks too! :ahhhhh:
