Ok, I have Office XP (Still love it) but I am getting Office 2007 for $20 for school. Is there a way I can install both?

I dont know about installing both but I have windows office 2007 and most of my friends still have the older ones so all I have to do is save it in the older format. Its easy so I dont think there is a need for any older versions.

Other then Excel 2007 is crap. You have to format each cell, you can't just type the format into the cell...

I like the new PowerPoint a lot. Word is nice with the <h1> and all. But the new Excel just blows, it is not even usable.

Why would you want both installed? You don't have a "Office XP" install CD?

Does it seem like a good idea?

I have a full version of Office XP, and am getting a full version of 2007.

Since you'll have both installed CDs why not just uninstall OfficeXP and install Offcei 2007?... Seems pretty straight forward to me and installing both is pointless.

Excel in 2007 is crap, as I said.

I have 2003 and 2007 installed (2007, then 2003) on the same Vista Premium OS
Just follow the instructions that you saw in the Microsoft link you posted

Excel 2007 you can't just type your formating in, you must format it from the menu. It is harder to format a row too.
