I didn't even realize for few days that North Koreans were same race as South Koreans. I'm a South Korean and It feels so weird killing my own race now. Its so funny how north talks in Crysis and I could understand them! They say really mean things about U.S. Like..."You yankee bit$$es" in korean.
Dang my grandma still calls Americans YANKEES sometimes. She is so used to saying it back in the korean war. Wuoh.. I went off topic sort of but this is what i thought of playing Crysis.

Key word in "North Korean" and "South Korean" is "K-O-R-E-A-N", or did you miss that? :dielaffin:r into two

For a second there based on the title of your thread I thought Crysis touched you in a bad way like Michael Jackson would :dielaffin:

Please give us more translations, even if laced with the humorous naivety! I'm in stitches! LOL

So far all I know for sure having played primarily on Delta is that I'm an American coward Yankee dog. I'm beginning to think they want to eat me!

Maybe I should move to a part of the island where rat is the local cuisine. Ah, but then I'd be a dirty rat. I suspect they've been watching Cagney movies with that Yankee talk.

If you play the game on normal settings or on easy they speak in english and then you can understand what they are saying.

BTW, the Ascension mod is going well so far. I found a way to allow exiting the Vtol after landing it and there are even 4 surviving convoy troops including 3 tank drivers, one with working turret, and a Hummer driver, who's Hummer is in cood condition.

There are also 3 other tanks and those you can actually get in and drive. Two of them are in full condition and those ones each have a friendly AI standing near them. It was rather fun landing the Vtol after taking on all the Scouts up to the point of the convoy and continuing on foot wihtout knowing if I'd have means to kill the Scouts ahead.

You are equipped with a Socom and Scar after exiting the Vtol, but with very limited ammo. I managed to kill all but one of the remaining Scouts via the Gunner's position of the tanks along the way, the last I evaded.

Oddly enough, though the Vtol was in full condition, it exploded when I landed it as I tried using a small patch of slanted beach. Next time I'll just land it on the road behind the convoy. I survived though and so did one AI, the Gunner I think. It seems the rest aren't actually there except in the cutscene.

I may ask others if they think it's acceptable to just land the Vtol and leave the Gunner and imaginary crew inside. Then escort the convoy on foot and/or from the Gunner position of one of the vehicles. You can enter them in the Gunner's position even without modding.

Another option is to script a Scout to severely damage the Vtol and necessitate parachuting out. The problem with that is the player may be flying too low when that happens. I'll probably try to equip the player with a working parachute though. It would be a cool plan B to parachute out if your Vtol winds up in "Evacuate" condition. the maop seems to play adequately well on foot anyway.

The trees are mostly non physical except for some at level end to save resources, thus you can no clip through them. Some ground textures are also compressed for optimization, but nothing too bad. There's enough solid buildings to use for cover and AI placement though without having to rely on trees for hard cover. They're still plenty good for camo too.

I'd really like to make it non linear having some kind of trigger start the convoy moving with the player's option to guard it from air, on foot, or via a Gunner's position in one of the convoy vehicles. You can make it past the first tunnel even by hiking around it through the woods.

I have great things planned for this level and so far have built two tunnels where there are blocked entrances. One will allow the tanks to pass through, the other is connected to a bridge I built and the railroad near the level end. I plan to put a surprise in the railroad tunnel.

I am now thinking of having a secondary objective besides the save the convoy objective. The secondary one would be to salvage any fully working tanks, of which there are 3. Thus I will have a few cargo Vtols and one passenger Vtol awaiting on the shore at the extraction point.

Of course I'll add in a few AI surprises including more Scouts, some nano suit NKs, and even an attack heli. I'm thinking of making the NK nanosuit guys use speed and cloak modes a lot and maybe even extend their duration. The challenge is they'd be hard to shoot from a distance once moving, the plus is they wouldn't be using armor mode. I may even cloak some of the aliens.

There's a great half destroyed bridge near the end that I may use to place a Hunter on. It would be necessary to kill it to get the tanks through. I may even script it to pick up and toss the semi working tank that sits on the bridge. Using the railroad tunnel will offer an optional way to do this.

A few things I need to find out how to do are get the MOAC to carry over from Exodus, remove the terrain that still shows at the tunnel entrances, keep the rain from falling through the tunnels, and I'd like to make and/or reconstruct a dialog file or two. The latter isn't really necessary and I'm not sure the rain shows in the tunnels in the game. I've only seen it do that while editing, where it's possible to no clip through things.
