CoD4 crashes on install

Okay, I get an error every time I try to install. "Can't access iw_00.iwd, make sure the file is present and that you can access it" Anybody else run into this issue? I googled it a couple different ways and all I can find on it is CoD2 stuff that doesn't apply here.

Does this happen if you try using the same install disc in another computer?

Yah I'm thinking the disk is scratched or something.

Its not scratched or anything, surface is perfect. It does however do the same thing on my X23800+ machine. Also, it won't just copy DVD to HD, it produces many read errors. Activision support thinks the disk is the issue too. I'm gonna return it today and try again.
