XFX 7900GT Colordots

Hello there!

I have an XFX 7900GT 520M that im not currently using because of the artifacts i has. The colorfull dots appears directly from bios and in the bios. However, in bios the card also "translates" the characters wrong. For example a H->K and often a gray/white char becomes purple.

The temperature is fine, not warm at all either in measuring programs and if you carefully touch the backside or the memory chips.

So i wonder if you got any tips for how i can fix this, it would be great if i could use it again so i can put it in my girlfriends computer to replace her ati 9800pro.

Does this happen in both systems? If so start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com as an RMA might be in order.

If artifacts happen in the BIOS, most likely the card is dying and needs to be RMA'd. Try it in your girlfriends / anyone's PC to make sure, then if it does artifact, go to www.XFXforce.com and register your card and start the RMA their.

Well, i have bought new CPU, motherboard, GFX and memory for my system. Ofcourse i got no dots with my new shiny XFX 8800 512.
With the 7900GT the dots etc. appears on both configurations.

I'll open a ticket and see what happens.
