Hi, I was looking for XFX 8800GT and noticed that some models have different coolers. Like PVT88PYHD4 and PVT88PYDQ4. Which one is better? :help:

The PVT88PYDQ has a slightly different fan design (slightly more effective) as well as the black pcb and stability bar.

Thanks for fast response! What about this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.aspx?CurImage=14-150-273-05.jpg&Image=14-150-273-03.jpg%2c14-150-273-04.jpg%2c14-150-273-05.jpg%2c14-150-273-06.jpg%2c14-150-273-07.jpg%2c14-150-273-08.jpg%2c14-150-273-09.jpg%2c14-150-273-10.jpg%2c14-150-273-02.jpg&S7ImageFlag=0&Depa=0&Description=XFX+GeForce+8800GT+PVT88PYHE4+Video+Ca rd

That is a less expensive version of the 8800GT the main difference being the fan is not adjustable and runs at 100%, keeps the video card cooler, but makes more noise.

I've got the PVT88PYDQ, normally unless I'm benchmarking the fan never goes above 33%, it stays about 46C idle, 70C load gaming heavy. Load it's cooler if I set the fan higher.

I'd get the PVT88PYDQ model because of the more efficient fan setup because cooler means more longevity, and more over clock head room.

One more question. Can I output sound via dvi-to-hdmi adapter?

Thanks for reply. Purchased my PVT88PYDQ from newegg. Hope to get it soon:)

Wow i didn't even see that model of the 8800GT. Looks good, slimmer, thinner, and small fan. too many video cards are coming out.
