hi, i jus recently bought the XFX 680i LT SLI motherboard and finished installed it and all the other hardware into my case. everything worked fine. i ran the Windows XP pro 32 bit and it installed jus fine as well. although i have a new case and an 8800GT Nvidia card im going to installed in a week these are my specs as of right now :)

XFX 680i LT SLI motherboard
2GB DDR2 800GHz RAM
Nvidia 7900GTS 256MB
850WATT power supply
Intel C2Q Q6600 2.40GHz OEM

well my problem is my sound does not work at all. i tried installing new driver for my onboard Realtek chip set as well and updates for my BIOS and also new windows drivers. i read a couple other forums and they all pointed to those same solutions as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the sound drivers. ive tried everything i can think of and im stumped. is there anything else i can do to fix this problem other then returning the board or purchasing a soundcard. thanks in advance :)

I had the same issue as you. there is a hotfix for the issue -> KB888111. search it on google from where to download it. if you have xp sp2 or sp1 it's going to be easy to install, if you have win xp sp3 you're going to have trouble with it because sp3 it's going to tell you that it is already installed. under xp the audio card is recognized as pci component, if you look in device manager you should see an exclamation mark next to a pci device just update the driver by pointing to the hotfix. Search it on google, XP and HD audio...Post back if you still have issues
