Alright, a couple things.
1- Does anyone know when Nvidia will be releasing their chipsets for am2+ motherboards?
2- Does anyone know or have heard rumors of the AM3 release date?
Waiting for a good Nvidia board for AM2+ or AM3 before i get myself a Phenom. I just can't wait though because socket 754 is starting to show it's age.

AM3 scheduled for release 3rd/4th quarter 2008. Geared for DDR3 memory, might be a couple of ddr2/ddr3 variants.
Am2+ nvidia release no clue. Amd 770 and 790/790fx chip set is out. If you want out of the current board cheap before the nvidia rolls out Asus M3A value based 770 runs $90 over on NewEgg. I've been running it with X2 6400, had both Phenoms on it no problem.
Has pcie 2.0, Hyper Transport 3.0, runs ddr2 1066 no problem. If you want to make it sing throw a 4 gig set of OCZ Reaper ddr2 800 on it. It runs so close to ddr3 the difference isn't even worth talking about. So far nothing is over clocking the Phenom well and nothing is expected to. I wouldn't go with a high dollar board for it cause your only going to get a 200-300 MHZ OC no matter what you buy and the M3A handles that easily.

1) I am not sure if nVidia will even make a chipset for the AM2+ platform.
2) Its still a ways away but last I remember was sometime later this year. but more like a Q4 release date.
AM3 chips are supposed to have a memory controller that supports both DDR2 and DDR3 but for obvious reason it can't run both at the same time.
Any reason other than SLI why you would want a Nvidia based AM2+ board?

I read an article about what they were planning on releasing for AM2+. I don't remember what they were calling them but I know that there were a few lined up.

I find Nvidia chipsets to be the best of the best. I also have two 7950GT's that I will be carrying over. And I also happen to love NvRaid.
