My system is running fine, fast and stable but every 10-15 min I hear three beeps (beep - beep - beep) then nothing for about 15min.... there is no sign of instability and the manual has 0 info on what these beeps indicate.

I have 2GB of 800MHz ram and ran a mem test with 0 errors after 14 hours.
I have a XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition
Intel 6600 Quad Core 2.4 GHz CPU

Any ideas ?

Does it ever beep while booting up?

I would say that could be a RAM issue, but im not completely sure especially since you sucessfully ran memtest.

It could also be a video problem. Does the beep occur while doing graphically intense things (games) or just randomly?

The mobo isn't beeping. It can't. The 680i LT doesn't have a speaker or a header for connection to a case speaker. So it has to be something else...

Im sure it is the motherboard beeping but I'll do some tests when I get back home to make sure. If not its the video card beeping but it never did that on my old board.

Unless there's a new revision out, I don't see how that's possible.

I dunno what else could be beeping.. it used to beep with the RAM, and video card taken out.

I'm sure it's the MB beeping... does it right when the system is turned on before post... beep...beep...beep. then boot windows... everything runs great. Randomly beep...beep...beep.

Can only be the MB or Videocard but I've had this card for awhile and never heard it been with the older MB

It is the Video card not getting enough power most likely, as no way a LT can beep.

Thank you all for the quick reponse

Ok I'm using and 465W cheap PSU so it could be that... I have an 550W to try but it does not have dedicated plug for the card but I do have and adopter that I can try.

Well, i got my new XFX 680iLT and this one doesnt beep. I swear that other one was beeping but i guess it could have been something else.

Definately try the other PSU.. that would help probably
