Unreal Tournament 3

So its out and highly debatable on how much it sux or not, anyone playing ut3?

I play it all the time. I dont think it sucks i just think the competition (CoD4 and Crysis) outdid them. But im not sure you can outdo the Unreal 3 engine. I mean yea the Crytek engine is awesome but im just feelin the UT3 engine more ya know?

I love the game. Wish I have more time to play though. Bought so many new games that some are still in the wrappers and had not had the time to try them out. Unreal Tournament has been one of my favorites for a very long time along with Starcraft and Diablo 2.

Now my big thing that I am hooked on somewhat is Hellgate London. Awesome game! I say somewhat because I am a person who does not have a lot of time. I might get a half hour a day to play. Sometimes more, sometimes none at all.

It is a fun game, but I have to agree with PP Mguire as the current competition is just better. If it had came out in that dry period between Battlefield 2142 and COD4 I would have been all over it.

Yea exactly. I got UT3 then 2 days later was able to get CoD4 and i havent touched UT3 sense. If it wasnt for that id prolly be playing UT3 alot more. Whats wierd is i still play alot of UT04 at LANs.

Probably because lots of people are more used and accustomed to that ut04 feel.

I love ut04 as much as the next guy but for me, ut3 just feels more complete and less...airy?

The graphics are amazing for how well it scales. The unreal 3 engine is absolutely the best engine except for maybe the source engine.

A lot of people don't like the graphics because they resemble gears of war. Even though the art style is similar, I still think that UT3 has it's own distinct look.

And about the fog for some of the levels, it can be turned off with some ini tweaking. (Any hardcore ut fan will be aware of the power of the ini)

One thing that I must say about UT3, is that the "campain" didn't do much for me. After 3 or 4 levels I grew tired and went to play some bots in free for all.

Actualy UT3 feels like UT99 to me and i loved UT GOTY Edition. I went to play it today and rememberd why i dont like it. You cant turn dodging off.

When you know how to use it very well you can become almost invinsible

Im almost invinsible on 04 with it turned off. On UT3 i fly off of high places and die cause ill be straffing and it will just dodge and then whoop there i go.

I think UT3 is an awesome game, both play and beauty, although Xero Freelance it does look similar to GoW thats b/c GoW uses their engine, so... Anyways if it wasn't for TF2 I would probably play this game a lot a lot more then I do, but when I do I thoroughly enjoy it, all the new vehicles are awesome, and even the SP is solid.

I havent been able to really play it alot cause with my mans comp atm he get raped in frame rates so bah hard to play your eyes feel liek they will pop out of your head lmao. I do know people who are hard core 99's love UT3 obviously the feel is very alike for them. Those ppls that were hard into 04 and didnt play 99 are pissed of course due to so much change in movement etc. Really if epic would of just revamped up ut 2k4 it woudl of been a huge it haha. The doge jumping in 2k4 if you can pull it off makes u almost unhitable and noobs hate you for it :P I still jump in a play in a few ONS servers but all thats left is Prime and Torlan server crap and I love Artic and Crossfire and I havent played in sooo long and miss it. I however love playing with noobs cause I rape them and they call me a hacker :) I follow up with thanks for the compliment and btw just fyi your also being owned by a girl hahaha to make matters worse for them. Some kid spouted off at me calling em a little boy and there was a guy who knew what clan I was in etc and he was laughing so hard cause this kid wouldnt shut up about me being a stupid little boy that didnt knwo crap well I got a screen shot of it and I had a score of like 298 haha next was 178 or sumthing it was halarious. If anyone wants to come play with me sumtime let me know I got my own vent too so hit me up to play soem game.
