I have a rig that has been running GREAT for last couple months than one day i go outside to smoke and when i come back its powered down.. try to power back up and it shuts down in 2-5 sec no post.. ithink blue and yellow come on then when it powers down only 1 light i think blue.. everytime same thing.. Since no speaker i tried new power supply, hard drive, video card and took all ram out and tried single sticks but nothing..same thing 2-5sec then shuts down.. I put a ticket in at xfx. but just wondering if u have saw this before..

Usually when I have seen similar situations, it has to do with something shorting out. Looks like you have tried swapping out most hardware but still same issue. Try mounting the motherboard outside the case (put the antistatic bag under it) and see if you have the same issue.

might be overheating and mobo is shutting it down to prevent heat damage.
