I was informed to Flash myBIOS, but have been unable to...I keep getting an error "please load the correct BIOS file" The one I tried to load was 680iLT_07. When I extracted the zip, it showed 721N9P07.
The reason that I am trying to Flash, is because I keep getting a CMOS checksum error. I have already changed the CMOS battery, but still keep getting the error. Also, when I try to restart the machine, I get no response except a black screen. I have all of the lights on the MOBO, and the fans continue to run, but I dont get a POST. NOTE: This only happens when I try to restart or shut down and then turn back on. If I reset the CMOS jumper, I get POST (plus the CMOS checksum error).
I posted earlier, and was advised to Flash......so that is my dilemma.

Did you use Winflash? Based on what the XFX website says the BIOS 721N9P07.bin (http://www.xfxsupportb.co.uk/680LTNVP07.zip) file is to be used with the Winflash Update Utility (http://www.xfxsupportb.co.uk/winflash_1_9.zip).

Trying downloading the ISO BIOS (http://www.xfxsupportb.co.uk/680LTXFXP07.zip) version and burn it to a blank CD and see if that works.

I did use the WinFlash

Just so I know, was I at least trying to flash with the correct update??

I have also seen people talking about P30 and P31 BIOS. Im confused, the one XFX says to download is the P07, plus I cant find the P30 or 31 anywhere...I am assuming I should stay with the P07 though...just talking out loud 'cause Im trying to figure this out.

P07 is the latest for the 680i LT, 30-31 is for the 680i non-lt.

You BIOS you downloaded was the "nVidia" BIOS, try downloading the "XFX" BIOS here to see if that helps: http://www.xfxsupportb.co.uk/680LTXFXP07.zip
