Finally got the board to take 07 bios, then I cleared cmos with pin and removed battery for 1 hr. and still got "checksum error defaults loaded on reboot" I have to admit,I have flashed numerous boards in my day, none of which have presented the obstacles that this 680i lt has. kind of starting to regret not spending more money on a better board :frown:

I got this error a few times on the same board when I had an unstable overclock. Try running it at stock and see if it'll work.

Plus clearing the CMOS resets the BIOS settings.

I had this issue, it resolved by..
1-clearing cmos
2- start pc and access bios, load defaults, save and restart
I believe after the 2nd restart it cleared.

Well, I had the same problem and after reading countless pages on the issue, I've discovered that my issue was that the CMOS was going back to the defaults because it did know the correct time. So after replacing the battery and resetting the time to the correct time. It seemed to work, :jawdrop: crazy! This was discovered after reading more into the functions of the CMOS, however comma this was done on an old system with a Phoenix D888 Bios.
Laterz, have fun out there!
